ANNOUNCEMENT
From October 12, 2025, 29 European countries, including Greece, will gradually implement the new Entry/Exit System (EES) at their external borders, with full implementation by April 2026.
The system applies to third-country nationals traveling to the 29 European countries and is designed to improve border control by making the process quicker, safer and more efficient. Each traveler’s entry and exit will be automatically recorded in a shared EU database, enhancing security and streamlining border management across the Union.
EU citizens and long-term residents are not affected by this change. For more information click here.
